Hi! I’m Molly!
I believe that every mother and baby can have a positive breastfeeding experience with the right guidance and encouragement.
I have four wonderful children and I am married to an incredible US Marine. I give them credit for inspiring me to become an IBCLC. Nursing my babies was a true “hands on” education in breastfeeding. I learned that each baby comes with their own unique personalities, abilities and challenges. Because we are a military family who moved frequently and many times overseas, I discovered that having the support and friendship of other women and families made parenting feel less isolating and intimidating. I took that knowledge and decided to pursue my career as a breastfeeding counselor while we were stationed in Japan. My formal education reenforced what I had experienced personally, and I found that being able to offer my personal experience combined with evidenced-base breastfeeding knowledge to mothers and families was one of the most fulfilling things I had ever experienced.
I spent many years working as a La Leche League leader. Some of my happiest memories are of my trips on the train in Stuttgart, Germany to do home visits or group meetings. Being invited into a home after the birth of a new baby is a sacred invitation, I have worked with families from all corners of the world, of many cultures and backgrounds, all with unique situations. Motherhood is a universal experience!
We have since moved “home” to Ohio and traded in our passports and luggage for a tractor, and life on a farm. The season of moving every couple of years, exploring new parts of the country and the world has transitioned into a more stable and predictable life. Although chasing after 4 kids still keeps me very busy!
I have a deep love and respect for mothers, and the families that support them. And I feel immeasurably blessed to be able to support and encourage them.
I can’t wait to work with you!
